The issue

Issue: On certain trailers, the wrong bolts may have been used to attach the rear impact guard to the trailer frame. As a result, the rear impact guard could fail in a crash. Safety Risk: A rear impact guard that fails in a crash could increase the risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Lode King will notify owners by mail and provide you with instructions for how to inspect and replace the bolts that attach the rear impact guard, as necessary.

Problème : Sur certaines remorques, les mauvais boulons pourraient avoir été utilisés pour fixer le dispositif de protection arrière au cadre de la remorque. Par conséquent, le dispositif de protection arrière pourrait ne pas fonctionner lors d'un accident. Risque pour la sécurité : Un dispositif de protection arrière qui ne fonctionne pas lors d'un accident pourrait accroître les risques de blessures. Mesures correctives : Lode King doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur fournir des directives sur la façon de faire inspecter et remplacer les boulons qui retiennent le dispositif de protection arrière, au besoin.
