The issue

Issue: On certain trailers, the rear impact guard may not have been welded properly to the frame. As a result, the rear impact guard may not work properly in a crash. Safety Risk: A rear impact guard that doesn't work properly could cause a vehicle to underride the trailer and increase the risk of injuries. Corrective Actions: Lode King will notify owners by mail and provide you with instructions for how to inspect and, if necessary, weld the rear impact guard to the frame. Alternatively, you may schedule an appointment to have the inspection and repairs performed at a Lode King dealership.

Problème : Sur certaines remorques, le dispositif de protection arrière pourrait ne pas avoir été correctement soudé au châssis. Par conséquent, le dispositif de protection arrière pourrait ne pas fonctionner correctement en cas de collision. Risques pour la sécurité : Un dispositif de protection arrière qui ne fonctionne pas correctement pourrait causer l'encastrement du véhicule sous la remorque et augmenter le risque de blessures. Mesures correctives : Lode King doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur fournir des instructions sur la manière d'inspecter et, au besoin, de souder le dispositif de protection arrière au châssis. Les propriétaires peuvent également prendre rendez-vous pour faire effectuer l'inspection et les réparations chez un concessionnaire Lode King.
