The issue
Issue: On certain vehicles, a programming error in the engine control module (ECM) could cause loss of engine power and/or cause the engine to stall. Note: The malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) may turn on before an engine stall happens. Safety Risk: A loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Infiniti will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to reprogram the ECM software.

Problème : Sur certains véhicules, une erreur de programmation dans le module de commande du moteur (MCM) pourrait causer une perte de puissance moteur ou entraîner le calage du moteur. Remarque : Le témoin d'anomalie pourrait s'allumer avant le calage du moteur. Risques pour la sécurité : Une perte de puissance moteur pourrait augmenter les risques d'accident. Mesures correctives : Infiniti avisera les propriétaires par la poste. Les propriétaires touchés devront amener leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire pour faire reprogrammer le logiciel du module de commande du moteur.
