The issue
Issue: On one truck, the steering wheel airbag cover could become brittle over time. If this happens, the cover could shatter and become a projectile when the airbag inflates in a crash. Safety Risk: Loose parts that are projected toward the occupants when an airbag inflates could increase the risk of an injury. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify the owner by mail and instruct them to take the truck to a dealer to replace the driver-front airbag module.

Problème : Le revêtement de coussin gonflable de volant d'un camion particulier pourrait se fragiliser au fil du temps et voler en éclats lors d'un accident entraînant le gonflement du coussin. Risques pour la sécurité : Les risques de blessure peuvent croître lorsqu'un coussin se gonfle et projette des éclats vers un occupant. Mesures correctives : Ford signalera le problème au propriétaire concerné par courrier et lui demandera d'amener son camion chez un concessionnaire, afin qu'on remplace le module de coussin gonflable avant du conducteur.
