The issue

Issue: On a small number of vehicles, there may be a weld problem with the front passenger knee airbag. As a result, the knee airbag may not inflate properly in a crash. Safety Risk: An airbag that does not inflate properly could increase the risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace the front passenger knee airbag.

Problème : Sur un petit nombre de véhicules, il peut y avoir un problème de soudure avec le coussin gonflable pour genoux du passager avant. Par conséquent, le coussin gonflable pour genoux peut ne pas se gonfler adéquatement lors d'un accident. Risques pour la sécurité : Un coussin gonflable qui ne se gonfle pas adéquatement peut augmenter les risques de blessures en cas d'accident. Mesures correctives : Ford doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire pour faire remplacer le coussin gonflable pour genoux du passager avant.
