The issue

Issue: On a small number of trucks, the warning light for the antilock brake system (ABS) doesn't turn on when there is a problem with the ABS. Safety Risk: A driver that is not warned about a problem with the antilock brake system could have an increased risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: PACCAR will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealership to update the vehicle software.

Problème : Sur un petit nombre de camions, le témoin du système de freinage antiblocage (ABS) ne s'allume pas en cas de défaillance du système. Risques pour la sécurité : Si le conducteur n'est pas averti que le système ABS ne fonctionne pas, il pourrait y avoir un risque accru de collision. Mesures correctives : PACCAR doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur camion chez un concessionnaire pour faire mettre à jour le logiciel du véhicule.
