The issue

Issue: On certain trucks, the accelerator pedal could stick and cause the engine not to return to idle. Safety Risk: An engine that doesn't return to idle could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: PACCAR will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the accelerator pedal assembly.

Problème : Sur certains camions, la pédale d'accélérateur pourrait se bloquer et le moteur pourrait ne pas revenir au ralenti. Risques pour la sécurité : Un moteur qui ne revient pas au ralenti pourrait entraîner une perte de contrôle et accroître les risques d'accident. Mesures correctives : PACCAR doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur camion chez un concessionnaire pour faire inspecter et, au besoin, faire remplacer la pédale d'accélérateur.
