The issue

Issue: On certain vehicles, the driver-front airbag may not inflate correctly in a crash. Safety Risk: An airbag that does not inflate correctly could create an increased risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: BMW will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the driver-front airbag.

Problème : Sur certains véhicules, le coussin gonflable avant côté conducteur pourrait ne pas se gonfler correctement lors d'un accident. Risques pour la sécurité : Un coussin gonflable qui ne se gonfle pas correctement pourrait créer un risque accru de blessures en cas d'accident. Mesures correctives : BMW doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire pour faire remplacer le coussin gonflable avant côté conducteur.
