The issue

Issue: On certain vehicles, the power cable(s) in the fuse box may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the cable(s) could become loose and overheat. If this happens, the engine could stall and the headlamps and/or the power steering assist could stop working. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. Wiring that overheats could create the risk of a fire. A loss of power steering assist can cause a sudden increase in steering effort. Headlamps that stop working could reduce visibility and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Aston Martin will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the fasteners for the power cables. The dealer will also inspect and, if necessary, replace any damaged parts.

Problème : Sur certains véhicules, le ou les câbles d'alimentation de la boîte à fusibles pourraient ne pas avoir été serrés correctement. Par conséquent, le ou les câbles pourraient se détacher et surchauffer. Si cela se produisait, le moteur pourrait caler et les phares et/ou la servodirection pourraient cesser de fonctionner. Risques pour la sécurité : Une perte soudaine de puissance aux roues pourrait augmenter le risque d'accident. Un câblage qui surchauffe pourrait créer un risque d'incendie. Une perte d'efficacité de la servodirection peut augmenter de façon soudaine l'effort à exercer sur le volant. Des phares qui cessent de fonctionner pourraient réduire la visibilité et augmenter le risque d'accident. Mesures correctives : Aston Martin doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire pour faire remplacer les dispositifs de fixation des câbles d'alimentation. Le concessionnaire inspectera également et, au besoin, remplacera toutes les pièces endommagées.
