The issue

Issue: On certain vehicles, the side curtain airbag(s) may not inflate properly in a crash if the driver's or front passenger's windows are rolled down. Note: For the Grand Highlander model, this recall affects both Grand Highlander and Grand Highlander Hybrid models. Safety Risk: A side curtain airbag that doesn't work properly could increase the risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace both side curtain airbag assemblies.

Problème : Sur certains véhicules, le ou les rideaux gonflables latéraux pourraient ne pas se gonfler adéquatement lors d'un accident si les vitres du conducteur ou du passager avant sont baissées. Remarque : Pour le modèle Grand Highlander, ce rappel concerne à la fois les modèles Grand Highlander et Grand Highlander hybride. Risques pour la sécurité : Un rideau gonflable latéral qui ne se gonfle pas correctement pourrait augmenter les risques de blessures en cas d'accident. Mesures correctives : L'entreprise doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire pour faire remplacer les rideaux gonflables latéraux.
