The issue

Issue: On certain RV trailers, certain 12 V wiring may not have proper circuit protection. Additionally, the wiring for the solar controller may be too small. As a result, the wiring could overheat and melt before the circuit breaker trips. Safety Risk: Wiring that overheats or melts could create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Forest River will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your trailer to a dealership to correct the wiring.

Problème : Sur certaines caravanes, certains câbles du système 12 V pourraient ne pas avoir une protection de circuit adéquate. De plus, le câblage du régulateur solaire pourrait être trop court. Par conséquent, le câblage pourrait surchauffer et fondre avant que le disjoncteur ne se déclenche. Risque pour la sécurité : Des câbles qui surchauffent ou fondent peuvent créer un risque d'incendie. Mesures correctives : Forest River doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur caravane chez un concessionnaire pour faire corriger le câblage.
