The issue
Issue: A small number of trucks may have been manufactured without the wiring for the antilock braking system (ABS) for a towed trailer. Additionally, there is no warning light to advise the driver if the ABS for the trailer isn't working. Safety Risk: An antilock braking system that doesn't work could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Mack will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to install the ABS wiring and warning light.

Problème : Un petit nombre de camions pourraient avoir été fabriqués sans câblage pour le système de freinage antiblocage (ABS) pour une remorque. De plus, il n'y a pas de voyant d'avertissement indiquant que l'ABS de remorque ne fonctionne pas. Risques pour la sécurité : Un système de freinage antiblocage qui ne fonctionne pas pourrait accroître les risques d'accident. Mesures correctives : Mack doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur camion chez un concessionnaire pour faire installer le câblage de l'ABS et le voyant d'avertissement de l'ABS.
