The issue

Issue: On a small number of trucks equipped with a Cummins L9N natural gas engine, when the engine is lifted, the rear lifting bracket attached to the cylinder head could detach. If this happens, the engine could swing or fall. Safety Risk: An engine that swings or falls could create a risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Cummins will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a Cummins authorized service center to inspect and, if necessary, replace the studs on the rear lifting bracket.

Problème : Sur un petit nombre de camions munis d'un moteur au gaz naturel Cummins L9N, le support de levage arrière fixé à la culasse pourrait se détacher lorsque le moteur est levé. Si cela se produisait, le moteur pourrait basculer ou tomber. Risques pour la sécurité : Un moteur qui bascule ou qui tombe pourrait créer des risques de blessure. Mesures correctives : Cummins doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur camion dans un centre de service autorisé Cummins pour faire inspecter et, au besoin, faire remplacer les goujons sur le support de levage arrière.
