The issue

Issue: On certain fire trucks, a problem inside the door latch assemblies could cause the doors to become stuck. If this happens, the doors may not be able to be opened. Safety Risk: Doors that can't be opened could slow your exit from the vehicle and/or delay emergency responders from entering the vehicle. This could increase the risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Spartan Fire will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to an authorized service facility to inspect and, if necessary, replace the door latch assemblies.

Problème : Sur certains camions de pompiers, un problème à l'intérieur des ensembles de verrouillage des portières pourrait entraîner le blocage des portes. Si cela se produisait, les portières pourraient ne pas s'ouvrir. Risques pour la sécurité : Des portières qui ne peuvent pas être ouvertes pourraient ralentir la sortie du véhicule et/ou retarder l'accès des premiers répondants à l'intérieur. Cela pourrait augmenter les risques de blessures. Mesures correctives : Spartan Fire doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur véhicule dans un centre de services autorisé pour faire inspecter et, au besoin, faire remplacer les ensembles de verrouillage de porte.
