The issue

Issue: On certain fire trucks, the cab tilt cylinder may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the cylinder could go beyond its limit and separate. If this happens, the cab could drop suddenly. Safety Risk: A cab that drops suddenly could increase the risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Spartan Fire will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to an authorized service facility to inspect and, if necessary, replace the cab tilt cylinder.

Problème: Sur certains camions de pompiers, le vérin d'inclinaison de cabine pourrait avoir été mal fabriqué. Par conséquent, le vérin pourrait dépasser sa limite et se séparer. Si cela se produisait, la cabine pourrait tomber soudainement. Risques pour la sécurité: Une cabine qui tombe soudainement pourrait augmenter le risque de blessure. Mesures correctives: Spartan Fire doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur camion dans un centre de service autorisé, pour faire inspecter et, au besoin, remplacer le vérin.
