The issue
Issue: On a small number of fire trucks equipped with a Weldon vehicle multiplex system, a software problem could cause the power distribution unit not to shut off if there is a short circuit or a wiring problem. As a result, the unit and/or wiring could overheat and melt. Safety Risk: A power distribution unit and/or wiring that overheats and melts could create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Spartan Fire will notify owners by mail and advise you to contact Weldon to update the Weldon power distribution unit software.

Problème : Sur un petit nombre de camions de pompier munis d'un système multiplex pour véhicule Weldon, un problème de logiciel pourrait empêcher l'arrêt du dispositif de distribution de l'alimentation en cas de court-circuit ou de problème de câblage. Par conséquent, le dispositif et/ou le câblage pourraient surchauffer et fondre.
