The issue

Issue: On certain motorhomes, the propane (LP) hose for the generator may not have been installed properly. As a result, the hose could contact the generator's exhaust and melt. Safety Risk: A propane hose that melts can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Thor Motor Coach advises you not to use the generator until the recall repairs have been completed. If you need to use the generator, Thor Motor Coach recommends that you inspect it for hoses or wiring harnesses contacting the exhaust every time before use. Thor Motor Coach will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorhome to a dealership to secure the propane hose and install a heat shield. Any damaged parts will be replaced.

Problème : Sur certaines autocaravanes, le tuyau de propane de la génératrice pourrait ne pas avoir été installé correctement. Par conséquent le tuyau pourrait entrer en contact avec l'échappement de la génératrice et fondre. Risques pour la sécurité : Un tuyau de propane qui fond peut créer un risque d'incendie. Mesures correctives : Pour réduire les risques pour la sécurité, Thor Motor Coach recommande de ne pas utiliser la génératrice jusqu'à ce que les réparations à faire dans le cadre de ce rappel. Si vous devez utiliser la génératrice, Thor Motor Coach recommande de l'inspecter avant chaque utilisation, afin de vérifier si des tuyaux ou des faisceaux de câbles touchent à l'échappement. Thor Motor Coach doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur autocaravane chez un concessionnaire pour fixer le tuyau de propane et installer un écran thermique. Toute pièce endommagée sera remplacée.
