The risk
These vehicles can cause injuries because premature abrasion of the front-axle wheel bearings could cause the wheel to come off.Polluted water may penetrate the wheel bearing from the front axle via the rear gasket and cause premature wear-out of the roller assemblies in the wheel bearings. Early symptoms of damage after the defect has occurred are optical warning indicators. Once the damage has progressed there are noises, changes in steering response, and a noticeable smell of overheated brake linings .
Product: Vehicles manufactured between January 2004 and October 2005 are affected. VIN in range WDB 97XXXX XK 893400 to WDB 97X XXX XL081676.
