EU safety alerts
Safety Gate, the European Union's rapid alert system, names the Adam in 8 alerts. European versions can differ from the North American car.
The locking mechanism of the parking brake may become loose. Vehicles with a manual transmission could roll away in case no gear has been engaged while parking on a slope.
Due to a wrong mixing ratio of the primary ignition chemicals in the gas generators, the airbag may not be triggered in the event of an accident.
The glass roof may be incorrectly fixed and could become detached during travel and fall onto the road, creating a hazard for the traffic behind.
Cracks in the steering box’s rack-and-pinion may lead to breakage and thus to steering failure.
The joint between the stub axle and the front lower suspension arm may become detached, causing a loss of driving stability.
The steering gear rack of the affected vehicles may have a crack in the teeth area which could affect the steering, leading to the risk of an accident.
The 18" light alloy wheel rims can crack on the surface with high mileage. This may cause a reduction in the clamping force of the wheel bolts and, in the worst case scenario, loss of the wheel.
The intermediate shaft of the steering system may break while driving, resulting in the loss of steering control.
