Litres per 100 km: total fuel used divided by total distance driven, from the car's own fuel consumption meter (OBFCM), collected in 2024 by the manufacturers, mostly remotely, and by national authorities. WLTP figures are the type-approval CO₂ values converted to litres. Hybrids, including mild hybrids, do not plug in; plug-in hybrid figures include the distance driven on electricity. EU safety alerts
Safety Gate, the European Union's rapid alert system, names the Talisman in at least 12 alerts. European versions can differ from the North American car.
The fuel line may be damaged. As a result, fuel may leak onto the road, posing a risk to the following traffic. Furthermore, fuel leakage on hot parts of the exhaust system will increase the risk of the vehicle catching fire.
The NOx sensors may not be properly tightened. This may result in an increased risk of fire.
The brake caliper/brake disk combination may be inadequate. As a consequence, the inadequate friction surface between the brake disk and the brake could affect the brake efficiency and balance with a possibility of pulling (right or left) during braking, or ev…
The mixture ratio of the ignition chemicals in the inflators for the window airbags is not correct. This could prevent the window airbags from inflating in the event of an accident.
When the rear door is closed, a child safety lock pre-set to the 'locks activated' position could disengage.
Possibility of incorrect fixing of the bottom cover of the dashboard, which may cause its partial or complete detachment.
The fixing screws for the rear seat frame lock might have insufficient strength. In the event of brutal deceleration of the vehicle, in a crash for example, the rear seat backrest may not be held.
The hydraulic unit of the anti-lock braking /electronic stability control system may have been contaminated with plastic or metallic particles during the manufacturing process. This could lead to a decrease in the efficiency of the anti-lock braking and/or the…
Possible incorrect positioning of the earth braid in the current sensor of the battery can cause the engine to stall with no prior warning on the instrument panel, which could lead to an accident.
Possible omission of the tightening of the additional heating earth wiring in the passenger compartment could lead to a fire.
Possible incorrect assembly of the left or right front flexible brake hose could lead to wear of the flexible brake hose by fretting on the wheel rim and on the tyre. Possible brake fluid leakage, which results as a consequence, could lead to long brake pedal …
The webbing of the front seat belts may have been partially cut. If this is the case, it could result in a loss of efficiency of the safety belt protection performance in the event of an accident.
