The issue

On certain vehicles, the push-pull headlight switch may have been manufactured with electrical contacts which allow an intermittent headlight circuit. An intermittent circuit could cause the headlights to suddenly go out. Under severe weather or nighttime driving conditions, driver visibility could be reduced, possibly resulting in a vehicle crash.

Sur certains véhicules, les bouton-poussoir d'éclairage des phares peut avoir un défaut de fabrication: ses contacts établissent un circuit intermittent vers les phares. Si les phares s'éteignent par mauvais temps ou de nuit, la vision du conducteur peut être sérieusement réduite et un accident est alors possible.
