The issue

On certain vehicles, the cruise control cable lock mechanism may self-disengage. When this occurs, vibrations can cause the cable to readjust by itself resulting in erratic cruise control operation or the throttle not returning to idle. Correction: A clamp will be installed around the lock tab of the cruise cable on all affected vehicles.

Sur certains véhicules, le mécanisme de blocage du câble de commande peut se déclencher. Les vibrations peuvent alors faire jouer le câble, ce qui va provoquer un fonctionnement irrégulier du régulateur de vitesse; la défectuosité peut également empêcher le régime de retourner au ralenti.
