The issue

Certain CNG vehicles do not comply with the requirements of CMVSS 1105 - Evaporative Emissions. The natural gas fuel fill valve may leak due to flaking of the nickel plating inside the valve. This will allow natural gas to escape into the atmosphere at a rate that exceeds the limits prescribed in the standard. Correction: Valve will be replaced with one of an alternative design.

Certain véhicules au gaz naturel ne satifont pas aux exigences de la NSVAC 1105 – Gaz d’évaporation. Il peut y avoir une fuite de gaz naturel au niveau du clapet de remplissage du réservoir parce que le nickelage s’effrite à l’intérieur du clapet et permet au gaz de s’échapper dans l’atmosphère à une vitesse qui dépasse les limites prescrites par la norme. Correction : Le clapet devra être remplacé par une pièce de conception nouvelle.
