The issue

On certain vehicles, the adjustable turning loop on the shoulder belt top mounting bolt may have been manufactured with a core hardness that exceeds the specification for this type of application. Due to the excessive core hardness, these mounting bolts may not withstand the force required to function properly in certain impact situations, increasing the risk of injury to a belted occupant. Correction: The upper adjustable turning loop bolt will be replaced with a bolt of proper hardness.

Sur certains véhicules, le boulon de montage supérieur du point d’ancrage réglable du baudrier peut avoir une dureté qui dépasse les exigences pour ce type d’application. En raison de la dureté excessive du boulon, il se peut que le point d’ancrage ne puisse pas résister aux forces requises pour fonctionner correctement en présence de certaines charges d’impact, ce qui fait augmenter les risques de blessures aux occupants. Correction : Le boulon de montage supérieur du point d’ancrage réglable devra être remplacé par un boulon de la bonne dureté.
