The issue

On certain vehicles, the cable from the starter to the battery stud on the alternator may break off at the alternator end, due to vibration in the cable, if the wire harness is not routed and clipped correctly. If the terminal breaks off, the cab will lose all power, resulting in complete electrical failure and engine shutdown, which may result in an accident and potentially cause property damage, personal injury, or death. Correction: Dealer will reroute and rewire the wiring harness to the alternator.

Sur certains véhicules, le câble qui relie le démarreur à la connexion de la batterie sur l'alternateur peut se briser près de l'alternateur à cause des vibrations si le faisceau de câbles n'est pas acheminé et fixé correctement. Si la borne se brise, il y aura interruption complète de l'alimentation électrique à la cabine et tous les systèmes électriques tomberont en panne, ce qui entraînera l'arrêt du moteur; il se pourrait alors que le conducteur perde la maîtrise du véhicule et ait un accident qui cause des dommages matériels, des blessures ou des pertes de vie. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront refaire l'acheminement et le branchement du faisceau de câbles de l'alternateur.
