The issue
On certain vehicles built on Spartan or Freightliner chassis and equipped with Michelin 255/80R22.5 XRV tires, the cords can fatigue if the tires are overloaded, underinflated or a combination thereof. This may result in a loss of control and could increase the risk of a crash. Correction: Dealer will replace both front tires with new Michelin 275/70R22.5 XZA1 tires. These tires will provide a greater carrying capacity. This action is deemed a Safety Improvement Campaign and is not being conducted under the safety act.

Sur certains véhicules fabriqué avec un chassis Spartan ou Freightliner et équipés de pneus Michelin 255/80R22.5 XRV, les câbles peuvent s'user plus rapidement si les pneus sont surchargés et/ou sous-gonflés. Cela pourrait causer une perte de contrôle et augmenter les risques d'accident. Correction : Le concessionnaire devra remplacer les deux pneus avant par des pneus Michelin 275/70R22.5 XZA1. Ces pneus fourniront une plus grande capacité de chargement. Cette mesure est considérée comme étant destinée à améliorer la sûreté et n'a pas été prise aux termes de la Loi sur la sécurité automobile.
