The issue

On certain vehicles, after approximately nine or more years of use, the accelerator cable cover in the subject vehicles may deteriorate causing the cable rubber boot to adhere to the inner throttle cable. This can cause the accelerator cable to delay RPM and vehicle speed reduction for several seconds after the accelerator pedal is released, which, in turn, can lead to a crash. Correction: Dealer will replace the throttle cable rubber boot.

Après environ neuf ans d'utilisation, la gaine en caoutchouc du câble de l'accélérateur des véhicules visés pourrait se détériorer et adhérer au câble lui même, ce qui pourrait retarder de plusieurs secondes la diminution du régime moteur et de la vitesse du véhicule après que l'accélérateur ait été relâché, ce qui pourrait provoquer un accident. Correction : Le concessionnaire devra remplacer la gaine en caoutchouc du câble de l'accélérateur.
