The issue

On certain vehicles, the retaining bolts that attach the propeller shaft to the center bearing flange and/or the rear differential flange may be missing, not sufficiently tightened or over tightened. If the retaining bolts were to fall out, the drive to the rear wheels may be interrupted. In the worst case, the drive shaft may fall down, increasing the potential for a vehicle crash. Correction: Dealers will install new retaining bolts.

Sur certains véhicules, les boulons de retenue qui fixent l'arbre de transmission au collet du palier intermédiaire ou au collet du différentiel arrière sont peut être manquants, pas assez serrés ou trop serrés. Si les boulons de retenue tombaient, les roues arrière pourraient ne plus être actionnées. Dans le pire des cas, l'arbre de transmission pourrait tomber, ce qui augmenterait le risque d'accident. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront installer de nouveaux boulons de retenue.
