The issue

On certain motorhomes, the cinch bolt that secures the steering column to the intermediate shaft may have been improperly tightened during vehicle assembly. A loose joint could allow the intermediate shaft to separate from the steering column, causing a loss of steering control that could result in a crash. Correction: Dealers will install a new cinch bolt and tighten to specs.

Sur certaines autocaravanes, le boulon de blocage qui fixe la colonne de direction à l'arbre intermédiaire pourrait avoir été serré de façon inadéquate pendant le montage du véhicule. Un joint qui a du jeu pourrait permettre à l'arbre intermédiaire de se détacher de la colonne de direction, ce qui causerait une perte de contrôle de la direction qui pourrait résulter en un accident. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront installer un nouveau boulon de blocage et le serrer conformément aux spécifications.
