The issue
On certain school buses, a production change may end-up reducing the effective life of the stop arm lights. Should the lights fail, visibility of a stopped bus would be affected. This could increase the risk of a child or pedestrian being struck by a passing motorist, causing severe personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will replace the safety stop arm light kit.

Sur certains autobus scolaires, un changement dans la production pourrait diminuer la durée de vie des feux du signal d'arrêt escamotable. Si les feux faisaient défaut, la visibilité d'un autobus arrêté en serait réduite. Cela pourrait accroître les risques qu'un enfant ou qu'un piéton se fasse frapper par un automobiliste, et soit blessé gravement ou tué. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer les feux du signal d'arrêt escamotable.
