The issue
On certain school buses equipped with a driver's seat containing a "Stabilus Bloc-O-Lift" support shock, the mounting tab on the shock may break unexpectedly, causing the seat to drop to its lowest position without warning, which could result in a momentary loss of control if the vehicle is in operation, possibly resulting in a crash. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the support shock.

Dans certains autobus scolaire comportant un siège du conducteur doté d’un amortisseur « Bloc-O-Lift » de Stabilus, la plaque de fixation de l’amortisseur pourrait casser soudainement, entraîner une chute du siège jusqu’à sa position inférieure, provoquer une perte de maîtrise temporaire du véhicule et causer un accident. Mesure corrective : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter les véhicules touchés et remplacer les amortisseurs défectueux s’il y a lieu.
