The issue

On certain trucks, the steering gear mounting bolts may not have received adequate tightening torque during vehicle assembly. Should the bolts loosen, the steering gear could separate from its mounting bracket, which may affect steering performance. A loss of steering control could result in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the steering gear mounting bolts.

Sur certains camions, les boulons de fixation du boîtier de direction pourraient ne pas avoir été adéquatement serrés lors du montage du véhicule. Si les boulons se desserraient, le boîtier de direction pourrait se détacher de son support de fixation, ce qui pourrait avoir une incidence négative sur la direction. Une perte de contrôle de la direction pourrait causer un accident, endommager des biens matériels ou blesser quelqu'un. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer les boulons de fixation du boîtier de direction.
