The issue

On certain vehicles, an incorrect steering wheel fastener may have been installed during vehicle assembly. The incorrect nut may not provide the clamp load required to fully seat the steering wheel onto the steering shaft. This could allow the steering wheel to wobble, which could hamper vehicle operation. If the problem is ignored, the nut could loosen completely, which could allow the steering wheel to detach from the steering shaft. These issues could result in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the steering wheel nut.

Sur certains véhicules, un dispositif de fixation de volant incorrect pourrait avoir été posé pendant le montage du véhicule. L'écrou incorrect pourrait ne pas fournir la force de serrage nécessaire pour bien fixer le volant sur l'arbre de direction. Cela pourrait causer le battement axial du volant et nuire au fonctionnement du véhicule. Si on ignorait le problème, l'écrou pourrait se desserrer complètement et causer le détachement du volant de l'arbre de direction. Cela pourrait causer un accident, endommager des biens matériels ou blesser quelqu'un. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer l'écrou du volant.
