The issue
On certain vehicles, a component of the Automatic Fire Detection and Suppression System may have been installed incorrectly and could contact or rub against brackets and clamps. As a result, the system may inadvertently activate causing, amongst other things, the engine to stop. Engine stalling would result in lost vehicle propulsion which, in conjunction with traffic and road condition, and the driver's reactions, could increase the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the linear thermal detector.

Sur certains véhicules, une pièce du système de détection et d'extinction automatique des incendies pourrait avoir été mal posée et entrer en contact avec les dispositifs de fixation et les supports, ou frotter contre eux. En conséquence, le système pourrait se mettre en marche subitement, ce qui, entre autres, arrêterait le moteur. Si le moteur calait, cela entraînerait une perte de propulsion du véhicule qui, combinée à l'état de la route, à la densité de la circulation et aux réactions du conducteur, pourrait augmenter le risque d'un accident endommageant des biens matériels ou blessant quelqu'un. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter et, si nécessaire, remplacer le détecteur thermique linéaire.
