The issue

On certain vehicles modified for wheelchair accessibility by the Liberty Motor Company Inc., the rear axle may fracture due to a combination of corrosion damage and operation on rough roads. If the rear axle fractures, vehicle handling may be adversely affected, creating the risk of a crash and increasing the risk of injury and/or property damage. Correction: Freedom Motors assigned service shops will inspect axles and reinforce or replace as necessary.

Sur certains véhicules modifiés par la Liberty Motor Company Inc. pour qu'une personne en fauteuil roulant puisse y monter, l'essieu arrière pourrait se briser à cause d'une combinaison de dommages par la corrosion et d'utilisation sur des routes accidentées. Si l'essieu arrière se brisait, le comportement routier du véhicule pourrait être affecté, ce qui risquerait de causer un accident et augmenterait les risques de blessures ou de dommages à des biens matériels. Correction : Les ateliers d'entretien désignés par Freedom Motors devront inspecter les essieux et les renforcer ou les remplacer au besoin.
