The issue

Issue: On certain vehicles, the emblem on the steering wheel could become loose. If this happens, the emblem or its retainers could become projectiles when the airbag inflates in a crash. Safety Risk: Loose parts that are projected toward the occupants when an airbag deploys could increase the risk of an injury. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace the airbag cover on the steering wheel.

Problème : Sur certains véhicules, l'emblème sur le volant peut se détacher. Si cela se produit, l'emblème ou ses dispositifs de retenue pourraient se transformer en projectiles lorsque le coussin gonflable se gonfle lors d'un accident. Risques pour la sécurité : Les pièces détachées qui sont projetées vers les occupants lorsqu'un coussin gonflable se déploie peuvent augmenter les risques de blessures. Mesures correctives : FCA Canada doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire pour remplacer le couvercle du coussin gonflable sur le volant.
