The issue

On certain vehicles equipped with Cummins ISM or Caterpillar C9 engines, the engine cooling fan may fail and break apart. If this occurs while the hood is open, a person in the vicinity of the engine could be struck by the blade and injured. Correction: Dealers will replace the radiator fan and install a stiffener disc.

Dans certains véhicules équipés de moteurs Cummins ISM ou Caterpillar C9, le ventilateur de refroidissement du moteur pourrait se briser et se séparer. Si cela devait se produire lorsque l'habitacle est relevé, une personne dans les environs du moteur pourrait être atteinte par la pale et être blessée. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer le ventilateur de refroidissement par un ventilateur de conception à jour et installer un disque raidisseur.
