The issue

On certain Amerivan 10 wheelchair accessible vehicles built on Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town and Country platforms, the crimp fasteners used to retain fittings in the fuel line may not be fully crimped or compressed. This could result in a fuel leak. Leaking fuel, in the presence of an ignition source, could lead to a fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect fasteners and crimp the fasteners further to ensure they are fully compressed and seated.

Dans certains véhicules accessibles aux fauteuils roulants Amerivan 10 construits sur des plates-formes de Dodge Grand Caravan et de Chrysler Town et Country, les dispositifs de fixation à sertir utilisés pour retenir les raccords dans la conduite de carburant pourraient ne pas avoir été entièrement sertis ou comprimés. Cela pourrait causer une fuite de carburant. Une fuite de carburant, en présence d'une source d'inflammation, pourrait déclencher un feu pouvant entraîner des blessures ou des dommages matériels (ou les deux). Mesure corrective : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter les dispositifs de fixation et sertir davantage ces derniers afin qu'ils soient entièrement comprimés et fixés bien en place.
