Recall 2018227

The issue

On certain vehicles, the thickness of fuel tank walls may not be adequate due to an issue in the manufacturing process. This could result in fuel leaking from the tank, which in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the fuel tank. Note: This is an expansion of recall 2017-586.

Dans certains véhicules, le réservoir de carburant pourrait présenter une fuite. Une fuite de carburant, en présence d'une source d'inflammation, pourrait déclencher un feu pouvant entraîner des blessures ou des dommages matériels (ou les deux). Mesure corrective : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer le réservoir de carburant. Remarque : Le présent rappel s'ajoute au rappel 2017-586.
