The issue

On certain vehicles, a drain tube for the air conditioner may be twisted and could drain water inside the passenger compartment onto the airbag control module. This could cause the airbag control module to malfunction, potentially causing a sudden airbag deployment without a crash, increasing the risk of injury to occupants and potentially leading to a crash. Correction: Dealers will inspect the HVAC drain tube and, if found twisted, the hose and airbag control module will be replaced.

Le tube de purge du climatiseur de certains véhicules pourrait être vrillé et de l'eau pourrait se déverser à l'intérieur du compartiment des passagers sur le module de commande des coussins gonflables et en causer la défaillance. En effet, les coussins pourraient se déployer soudainement même s'il n'y a pas de collision, ce qui pourrait augmenter les risques de blessures aux occupants ou même causer une collision. Correction : Les concessionnaires doivent inspecter le tube de purge du CVCA et, s'il est vrillé, remplacer le module de commande du coussin gonflable.
