The issue

Certain vehicles do not to conform to Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) 114 - Theft Protection and Rollaway Prevention. Due to incorrect programming, the vehicle may fail to provide an audible warning when a driver opens their door after turning off the ignition, and the key is left in the ignition switch. This could increase the risk of vehicle theft. Correction: Dealers will reprogram the instrument cluster.

Certains véhicules ne sont pas conformes à la norme de sécurité des véhicules automobiles du Canada (NSVAC) 114 - Protection contre le vol et immobilisation. À cause d'une programmation incorrecte, le véhicule pourrait ne pas produire d'avertissement sonore lorsque le conducteur ouvre sa portière après avoir coupé le contact et oublié d'enlever la clé de l'interrupteur d'allumage. Cela pourrait augmenter les risques que le véhicule se fasse voler. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront reprogrammer le groupe d'instruments.
