The issue
Issue: On certain trucks, the reflective conspicuity tape on the back wall of the sleeper box was installed in incorrect locations. Canadian regulations require the conspicuity tape to be placed in specific areas. Safety Risk: A truck that does not have properly placed conspicuity tape may be less visible to others. This could create an increased risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a Peterbilt dealer to install additional conspicuity tape on the back wall of the sleeper box, in the required locations.

Problème : Sur certains camions, le ruban réfléchissant sur la paroi arrière du compartiment-couchette a été apposé aux mauvais endroits. La réglementation canadienne exige que le ruban réfléchissant soit apposé à des endroits spécifiques. Risque pour la sécurité : Un camion dont le ruban réfléchissant ne se trouve pas aux bons endroits pourrait être moins visible pour les autres usagers de la route. Cela pourrait augmenter les risques d'accident. Mesure corrective : L'entreprise avisera les propriétaires par la poste. Les propriétaires touchés devront amener leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire Peterbilt afin de faire installer du ruban réfléchissant supplémentaire sur la paroi arrière du compartiment-couchette, aux endroits requis.
