The issue
Issue: On certain cranes, the boom lift cylinder hose may not have been plumbed correctly and is not protected by the velocity fuse. This could result in uncontrolled movement of the boom. Safety Risk: Uncontrolled movement of the boom lift could increase the risk of injury to the operator and nearby people. Corrective Actions: Altec Industries will notify owners by mail and instruct them to inspect the boom lift cylinder hose for damage and proper plumbing. Altec Service will repair/correct any units that do not pass the inspection.

Problème : Sur certaines grues, le tuyau du vérin de levage de la flèche pourrait ne pas avoir été correctement aplombé et n'est pas protégé par le fusible de vitesse. Cela pourrait entraîner un mouvement incontrôlé de la flèche. Risques pour la sécurité : Un mouvement incontrôlé de la flèche de levage pourrait augmenter les risques de blessures pour l'opérateur et les personnes se trouvant à proximité. Mesures correctives : Altec Industries doit avertir les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'inspecter le tuyau du vérin de levage de la flèche pour vérifier qu'il n'est pas endommagé et qu'il est d'aplomb. Altec Service réparera/corrigera tout appareil qui échouera à l'inspection.
