The issue

Issue: On certain vehicles equipped with an anti-lock brake system (ABS), moisture can enter the ABS control module and cause a short circuit. Safety Risk: A short circuit could create a fire risk. This can happen even if the vehicle is parked. Corrective Actions: Hyundai will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to install a relay to power off the ABS control module when the vehicle is turned off.

Problème : Dans certains véhicules munis d'un système de freinage antiblocage (ABS), de l'humidité peut s'infiltrer dans le module de commande ABS et causer un court-circuit. Risques pour la sécurité : Un court-circuit peut créer un risque d'incendie. Cela peut se produire même si le véhicule est stationné. Mesure corrective : Hyundai avisera les propriétaires par la poste. Les propriétaires touchés devront amener leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire afin de faire installer un relais pour mettre hors tension le module ABS lorsque le moteur du véhicule est arrêté.
