The issue

Issue: The Intelligent Power Module (IPM), which is part of the hybrid drive system, could become damaged under certain driving conditions. This could cause various warnings to appear on the instrument panel and cause the hybrid system to shut down. If this happens, there can be a loss of power to the wheels. Safety Risk: A loss of power to the wheels could create the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Toyota will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to update the software for the hybrid system.

Problème : Le module d'alimentation intelligent (IPM), qui fait partie du système de propulsion hybride, pourrait être endommagé dans certaines conditions de conduite. Cela pourrait entraîner l'apparition de divers avertissements sur le tableau de bord et provoquer l'arrêt du système hybride. Si cela se produisait, il pourrait y avoir une perte de puissance aux roues. Risques pour la sécurité : Une perte de puissance aux roues pourrait créer un risque de collision. Mesures correctives : Toyota doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire pour faire mettre à jour le logiciel du système hybride.
