The issue

Issue: On certain aerial devices and digger derricks, the bolts for the pedestal and turntable may fail. If multiple bolts fail, the turntable and pedestal could separate from the vehicle. Safety Risk: If the pedestal and turntable separate from the vehicle, there may be a risk of injury. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and advise them to perform a visual inspection of the rotation bearing bolts, looking for bolts marked with the number "5252". If any of the bolts are found broken or cracked, the unit should be taken out of service and the bolts should be replaced. Bolts marked with the number 5252 that are not broken or cracked must be replaced at the next annual service.

Problème : Dans certains dispositifs aériens et grues/tarières, les boulons pour le socle et la plate-forme tournante pourraient présenter une défaillance. Si de multiples boulons présentent une défaillance, la plate-forme tournante et le socle pourraient se séparer du véhicule. Risque pour la sécurité : Si le socle et la plate-forme tournante se séparent du véhicule, il pourrait y avoir des risques de blessures. Mesures correctives : Le constructeur avisera les propriétaires par la poste et leur demandera d'effectuer une inspection visuelle des boulons de palier de rotation pour voir si des boulons portent le numéro « 5252 ». Si un ou plusieurs de ces boulons sont brisés ou fissurés, le dispositif aérien doit être mis hors service et les boulons doivent être remplacés. Les boulons comportant le numéro 5252 qui ne sont pas brisés ou fissurés devront être remplacés lors du prochain entretien annuel.
