The issue

Issue: On certain vehicles, a software update could cause the Centre Information Display ("CID") to go blank. When this happens, the cockpit control module ("CCM") will continuously reboot every three (3) minutes. As a result, the rearview camera image will disappear during the reboot process. Safety Risk: A rearview camera that turns off could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Subaru will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to update vehicle software. If the centre information display is not working properly, the cockpit control module will be replaced.

Problème : Sur certains véhicules, une mise à jour du logiciel pourrait faire en sorte que l'afficheur d'information central (CID) n'affiche plus rien. Si cela se produit, le module de contrôle << CCM-Cockpit Control Module >> redémarrera en continu toutes les trois (3) minutes. Par conséquent, l'image de la caméra de recul disparaîtra pendant le processus de redémarrage. Risques pour la sécurité : Une caméra de recul qui s'éteint pourrait réduire la capacité du conducteur à voir derrière le véhicule lorsqu'il fait marche arrière. Cela pourrait augmenter les risques d'accident. Mesures correctives : Subaru doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire pour mettre à jour le logiciel du véhicule. Si l'afficheur d'information central fonctionne mal, le module de commande du tableau de bord sera remplacé.
