The issue
This recall was replaced by Transport Canada Recall No. 2021-686. Issue: On certain vehicles, there could be a problem with the ventilation control system (HVAC). As a result, certain controls may not work, including the windshield defrost function. Safety Risk: A windshield that cannot be defrosted/defogged can reduce visibility and could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: PACCAR will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace the HVAC control head.

Ce campagne a été remplacé par le no 2021-686 de Transports Canada. Problème : Sur certains véhicules, il pourrait y avoir un problème avec le système de contrôle de la ventilation (CVC). Par conséquent, certaines commandes pourraient ne pas fonctionner, notamment la fonction de dégivrage du pare-brise. Risques pour la sécurité : Un pare-brise qui ne peut pas être dégivré/désembué peut réduire la visibilité et augmenter les risques d'accidents. Mesures correctives : PACCAR doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire pour faire remplacer la tête de commande du système CVC.
