The issue
Issue: On certain vehicles, there could be a problem with the ventilation control system (HVAC). As a result, certain controls may not work, including the windshield defrost function. Note: This recall replaces Transport Canada recall 2021-444. Safety Risk: A windshield that cannot be defrosted/defogged can reduce visibility and could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: PACCAR will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect the date code of the HVAC control head and replace it, if necessary.

Problème : Sur certains véhicules, il pourrait y avoir un problème avec le système de contrôle de la ventilation (CVC). Par conséquent, certaines commandes pourraient ne pas fonctionner, notamment la fonction de dégivrage du pare-brise. Remarque : Le présent rappel remplace rappel 2021-444 de Transports Canada. Risques pour la sécurité : Un pare-brise qui ne peut pas être dégivré/désembué peut réduire la visibilité et augmenter les risques d'accidents. Mesures correctives : PACCAR doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire pour faire inspecter la tête de commande du système CVC et la remplacer au besoin.
