The issue
Issue: On certain vehicles, an unused wiring harness for a rear HVAC blower motor, located in the left B-pillar area, could become damaged if exposed to moisture or contaminants. If this happens, the wires could short circuit. Note: This recall only affects cutaway chassis incomplete vehicles. Safety Risk: A short circuit can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: General Motors will notify owners by mail and instruct you to bring your vehicle to a dealership to seal the wiring for the rear HVAC blower motor at the left B-pillar.

Problème : Sur certains véhicules, un faisceau de câblage inutilisé pour un moteur du ventilateur du système de chauffage, ventilation et climatisation (CVC) arrière, situé dans la zone du montant B pourrait s'endommager s'il est exposé à l'humidité ou à des contaminants. Si cela se produisait, les fils pourraient provoquer un court-circuit. Remarque : Le présent rappel touche seulement certains véhicules incomplets à châssis tronqué. Risques pour la sécurité : Un court-circuit peut créer un risque d'incendie. Mesures correctives : General Motors doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire pour faire sceller le câblage du moteur du ventilateur du système CVC arrière dans la zone du montant B.
